Homosexuality is nothing new and it really is a no-brainer for a believer
walking in the truth. But since I recently read where someone couldn't find
where Jesus taught on this issue, the truth must be told. Yes, he did.
example: Matthew 19:1-6 Some Pharisees came to Jesus to test him with a
divorce question. Jesus replied, "Haven't you read, that at the beginning
the Creator made them male and female, and said, For this reason a man will
leave his father and mother and be united with his wife and the two will become
one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined
together, let man not separate."
Notice the first thing Jesus addressed was reading the scriptures back at the
creation. In Genesis 1:28 God blessed them and in Genesis 2:25 says the man and
his wife were both naked and they felt no shame.
Also in Mark 7:1-23 The Pharisees asked Jesus another question about clean
and unclean. And Jesus asked, "Don't you see that nothing that enters a man
from the outside can make him 'unclean'? For it doesn't go into his heart but
into his stomach, and then out of his body." (In saying this, Jesus
declares all foods 'clean').
He went on: "What comes out of a man is what makes him 'unclean'. For
from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft,
murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and
folly. All these evils come from inside and make a man 'unclean'.
And we know from Matthew 12:34 that " out of the overflow of the heart
the mouth speaks."
You see, we are in a spiritual battle (Ephes. 6) and the one behind all these
evils is Satan and as Rev. 12 reveals - He's the one who leads the whole world
astray. Jesus said in John 4:21-24 that we must worship in spirit and in truth.
We need God's powerful word to sustain us (Heb. 1).
You see God is really for us (Romans 8) and Satan is our enemy and this is
just one of his schemes as mentioned in Ephes 6 to divide and destroy.
Also in Revelation 2 in the letters to the churches of Pergamum and Thyatira,
sexual immorality is mentioned by Christ.
We have got to wake up because Christ is coming back soon! We do have this
wonderful promise in 1 John 1 that if we confess our sins, he is faithful and
just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
