True to Teachings

The article by John Railey stirred my heart. As a Christian and a member of the Moravian church, I have to write in behalf of our four beloved friends.

My husband and I praise God that they have the courage to resign from the Board of World Mission because the church was not willing to stand for the absolute truths found in the Bible.

Growing up in the Moravian church, I was taught the absolutes and grounded and rooted in the word of God. What happened? Why are leaders who stand on God's word called "more conservative than many in their church"?

My husband and I are born again disciples of Jesus Christ who support these leaders 100 percent because we too believe the Scriptures as they do.

I think the day has come when Christians must acknowledge boldly Jesus Christ and the absolute truths of the Bible. In the word, it says, "Whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father." We are either for the truth, .Jesus Christ, or against.

We believe with all our hearts that many other Moravians believe the truth just as these leaders and are willing to stand and be counted. We pray that they will.
