Dear Moravian,
Your
church is facing the gravest peril ever, the very lives of your children are at
stake, and their innocence and purity are severely threatened. Read this very
carefully, it is intense. I don't mince words. Put your steel toe shoes on.
Jesus
said the last days would be like Sodom and Gomorrah. Were you aware the church
will help bring that about? One delegate to the last Southern Synod said,
concerning the resolution not to offend homosexuals, "We dealt with
controversial issues, but love prevailed." NO IT, DIDN'T, that is, for the
majority it didn't. What prevailed was cowardice and unbelief. Oh, love of man
for man, yes, but not AGAPE love. Divine love does it Gods way. One person said,
"It was the most spiritual Synod yet." No doubt about it, but it
wasn't Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit does not lead contrary to the WORD.
Both
Synod and homosexuals no doubt think Synod was gracious and kind, it was at the
expense of faithfulness, thus, it wasn't so gracious and kind. The resolution is
the saddest, the most tragic, depraved, disobedient, irresponsible, idiotic
thing the Moravian Church has ever done, with the most far reaching
consequences.
"Do
good to all men, especially Christians" (Gal.6:10). The homo would say the
resolution did him good. It didn't. He surely doesn't know what is good for him.
It has aided and abetted him in his sin. It certainly wasn't good for the
church. Leaders have a duty to preserve the purity of the church . We are to be
salt. Salt is a preservative. That resolution does the opposite. For such a
resolution to pass drives one to the conclusion that over half of the church is
either lost, apostate, homosexual (they are apostate), or exceptionally ignorant
of Gods Word. Synod no doubt reasoned, "It is our duty to accept homosexual
'Christians'." NO IT ISN'T. We must accept one another only as fellow
penitents, not as fellow sinners who are determined to persist in sin. God does
not promise acceptance to us if we harden our hearts against His Word and Will.
He only promises judgment.
Homosexuality has no legitimate claim to the civil rights movement. If it is a
civil or human right, then so is prostitution and incest. It is rather a
deviation from Gods norm. It is a learned behavior, and is not due to
"kinky genes" nor is it inherited. It is not a sign of created order,
but rather one of fallen disorder. Homo's would have us believe that the
"sin of Sodom" was not homosexuality, and that when they told Lot to
bring the men out so we may "know them", they meant so we may get
acquainted. That is willful ignorance. God says, "they were going after
strange flesh" (Jude 7). Thus, those "filthy dreamers" who
"defile the flesh" (Jude 8), are railing against God. They are
charging God with striking the men blind simply because the men were
"hospitable." What could be more offensive than being struck blind,
then, buried alive with fire and brimstone!
The Bible is
perfectly clear about God's view of homosexuals and what He expects the church
to do about them. It is not like what that silly ultra- liberal preacher, who
grew up in Valley View, said, "The Bible does not have a single clear
position on homosexuality," and that "To declare on Scriptural grounds
that homosexuality is a sin against nature, not to be tolerated in society, is
simply a myth." He headed the National Council of Churches family
ministries and human sexuality program, who (the NCC) in 1975, "voted to
take homosexuality out of the category of male prostitution, child seducers and
transvestites, and to put it into the category of race, sex class, creed and
place of national origin." Thus, the ultra liberal NCC declared evil to be
good. Such willful blindness. Both the NCC and Southern Synod placed right on
the scaffold and wrong on the throne. They have encouraged genocide.
The Scripture
throughout clearly condemns homosexuality as a sin against God The O.T. commands
that homosexuals be executed of exiled, while the N.T. commands that they be
warned and that their sin is under the wrath of God (Rom.1:18 - 27),and that if
they are a church member they are to be dismissed if they don’t denounce and
forsake their sin (1 Cor.5:6) There are no "ifs" or “buts"
about it. The steps to be taken before putting them out are given in Mt.
18:5-17), and must be done in accordance with the requirements in Gal.6:1. Don't
ignore sin in the church. This points out a long held (maybe always) and serious
deficiency in the Moravian Church ,that ' of church discipline. The church has
long ignored sin in its ranks.
SCNINDLERS LIST
was a heart rending reminder of the far reaching consequences of disobedience to
God. Sadly, tragically, unbelievably, many churchmen and preachers knew what was
happening in Germany and they did nothing. Edmund Burke stated, "The only
thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. " But as
bad as it was in Germany ,"the Jew soon has to go though much worse
tribulation (Mk. 13:l9). O God, in wrath remember mercy (Hab.3:2).
A number
of homo's have said, "I'm Christian, I know its wrong, but I can’t
stop." He's expressing guilt and shame. There is still hope for him. The
church's duty here is to let him know there's a lie in his statement. Either he
is not a Christian, or he can stop. A non-believer can't help but sin, but a
believer doesn't have to sin, he is able not to because the power of sin has
been broken for him. He is not unable to sin, but he is able not to. In the next
life will be unable to sin, while the unbeliever will remain as he is now
(Rev.22:11). The heart of the above person expressing guilt, is not totally
hardened, his conscience has not become totally seared. The homo that is open
with it without shame and fear, but who is proud of it, is a REPROBATE (Rom.l).
He is one that can do anything, anywhere, anytime, before anyone and not have
shame, in fact, he is proud of it (gay pride they call it). God sure named them
right. Reprobates don’t have the equipment to understand God's Word and Will.
"The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit. .."(1
Cor.2:14). Reprobate's don't worship god, they worship self (the creature). They
reject God's Word about them. They are their own god. They aren't going to let
God tell them what is right and wrong going to decide for them selves. That was
Eve's mistake (Gen.3:5). They think they have the "right to choose."
God never gave anyone the right to choose between good and evil, He gave the
ability, not the right to choose. Reprobates don’t have faith, because faith
is believing God's Word. Faith accepts God's standards. One such standard is
heterosexual marriage. The only alternative to that is abstinence. Reprobates
are at enmity with God, they are not at peace with Him.
Synod gave
homo's a signed blank check. Synod backed the church into a corner, tied her
hands, and put the church at the mercy of homo's. If the church doesn't give
them what they want, they will claim they are being discriminated against. Synod
turned all children over to homo's, who will teach them that God has blessed
them (homo) with the love of sodomy.
Synod,
you can't claim 2 Cor.6:3, for example, "giving no offense" as the
basis for your resolution, because you have offended all little ones. To offend
a little one (Mt.18:6) is to cause to stumble or set a stumbling block before a
child. You have surely done that. Jesus said you need a millstone.
And now they
are going to hold a silly forum on homosexuality, obviously to ask what more the
church can give them, how can the church make them more comfortable. This is
akin to trying to change the nature of a pig, by tying a ribbon around a well
washed pig and placing him in a parlor. Does anyone care to guess what will
change first, the pig or the parlor? The church should be the parlor, Synod made
it the pig-sty. No discussion is needed. Would the Rt. Reverends help me out
here? I can't find where Paul held a forum on incest (1 Cor.5). What we need is
leaders with spiritual backbone.
What the
church needs is preachers with Holy Ghost fire shut up in their bones ( Jer .20
: 9} , who will preach the whole counsel of God ( something the Moravian Church
has never done}, including a scathing denunciation of homosexuality from Gen.
19; Rom.l ; and Jude for example. Why have I never heard a sermon from Jude in
the Mor. Church, and seldom from the others? No book comes down harder on
Apostates and homo's, than Jude. In fact, God comes down harder on homosexuality
than anything else, to my knowledge.
God told us
that all but a remnant of the church would become apostate in the last days, and
we most emphatically are in the last days. The fulfillment of prophecy is
exploding all around us, and the signs we are told to watch for are occurring in
overwhelming numbers. Prophecy is a part of the "whole counsel".
Moravian preachers don't look at prophecy. How tragic. They can't obey the
command to admonish (Rom.15:14) and encourage one another the more and more as
they "see the day approaching"(Heb.l0:25). They don't see it
approaching. Actually Moravian philosophy doesn't allow Christ to come for a
good while yet, because what such philosophy thinks the church must do, is so
far from accomplishment. The "bringing in of the day of peace and
brotherhood, and ending the night of wrong" (from RISE UP O MEN OF GOD) for
example, is nowhere nearly done. The church will never and can never do that.
The Scriptures reveal that Christ will return in a time of exceeding darkness
and wickedness, not at a time of millennial blessedness. The world is worsening,
not getting better. How can the world get better when the church itself is
decaying? The church has scurvy (bleeding to death from within). Years ago I
told a preachers wife "the church is in a stupor. " Now the stupor has
worsened. Years ago I warned that the church is in a downward spiral and that
the nature of spirals is to tighten if they continue . No one listened. That
spiral is now much, much tighter. Sadly, the majority doesn't know it. Jesus
told us that the Laodiceans didn't know it, and we are the Laodicean Church
(Rev.3). Preachers will deny this.
Jude
calls apostates (which homo's are) "Raging waves of the sea (sea in
Scripture at times refers to the mass of humanity, and there is a multitude of
waves in a sea) foaming out their own shame." They are Wandering stars
(asteroids, meteors) to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness
forever." In the Tribulation stars fall from heaven (they have to strike
the earth, else they aren't falling, they are merely traversing the heavens). A
wandering star is one that has broken free of natural law, free of governmental
authority, they have no prescribed course to run, no purpose, their destiny is
to hurtle aimlessly through space forever, unless they strike something.
Apostates are: "Clouds with out water." Water symbolizes the Holy
Spirit, thus, apostates don't have the Holy Spirit. A cloud is water vapor. It
is literally saying "water vapor without water." What better way is
there to say they are nothing, they are useless'? A cloud has purpose; when dew point
and temperature come together, rain results, but without water they can't come
together. Jude says they are, "twice dead (the second death, spiritual
death) plucked up by the roots" (that which brings life is removed from the
source of life).
John Stainer’s
THE CRUCIFIXION, opens ( I think) with the words "Could you not watch with
Me one brief hour? " Later he repeats the words ( several times with the
same rhythm), " Is it nothing to you all ye that pass by? " A rhetoric
question with an implied, no. Music should be "married" to the text it
accompanies, that is, it should enhance the text (the most important thing), not
detract from it. It should picture what the text says. On the last repetition,
Stainer very cleverly does this in the rhythm, he syncopates the word
"nothing", because, except for the rare person, the choir invariably
will sing it as before, indicating that they are not alert, not watching for
what is coming. Church leaders are like that today. They can't see what's
coming.
That God's
wrath is upon homosexuality is a part of the "whole counsel ", and
preacher, if you want to "obey God rather than men" (Synod was of
men), you will proclaim this openly from the pulpit. Of course people will be
offended. Nothing, probably, is more offensive to a person persisting in sin,
than God's Word to him concerning that sin. But, do God's Will in God's Way and
you are not responsible for the results, God is. Ezek.33 makes it clear that if
you warn the wicked and he doesn't repent, his blood is not on you, but, if you
don't warn him, his blood is on you. The incentive is surely there to warn him.
Why aren't you? Because you haven't been preaching the "whole
counsel", grievous wolves have entered in (Acts 20:27-29). Not preaching
it, to them, (wolves)is the same as if you had left. WHERE WERE THE BISHOPS
while Synod was floundering around? The top overseers should be the first to
turn us back to the truth when we go the wrong way. The church is just muddling
around like sheep with no shepherd. There is a famine of preaching of the
"whole counsel," and Synod has ruled it must continue. Preachers are
like dumb, mute watch dogs, dogs that won't bark when danger
approaches(Isa.56:10). Oh, I know preachers can say things, stronger things, in
a Bible study than he can say in the pulpit .In the pulpit there is much greater
risk of (this is cutting, but it is God's Word) "casting pearls before
swine."
We are
witnesses for Christ, and a witness is obligated to tell what he knows (this
letter is written in obedience to that). We are ambassadors for Christ, and an
ambassador is responsible to deliver the message he was sent to give, precisely
and completely. This means preachers will have to preach on the Levitical
offerings (that will take "digging") and on typology, for example. I
don't recall hearing a sermon on either. You need to expound the Word,
preachers, the church is dying for a lack of knowledge. Choir directors, for
example, are in dire need of help in how to determine if an anthem text is good
theology. Years ago I asked the Elders to examine the choir anthems, because
many have poor theology, some imply the wrong thing, and some have outright
falsehood. Space won't allow, but I would love to comment on that anthem with
the very blasphemous and ignorant interpretation of Jesus's words, "Father,
if it be possible, let this cup pass..." Immediately, a letter came back
from the Elders, disbanding the S.S. class I was teaching, to "protect the
spirituality of the church." I said that to ask, How are you going to
protect the church from Synod? Well, I'm back board.
If the church won't obey the Chief
Elder (who said, "if you love Me you will keep My commandments"), why
can't we at least obey our beloved hymns'? The Lenten hymn 341 "LORD, WHO
THROUGHOUT THESE FORTY DAYS' contain the words, "teach us to mourn our
sins. " Why, why, why did the delegates not express their deep sorrow for
that resolution, why didn't they mourn'? Why wasn’t the worship service that
day, where the delegates spoke, one of mourning? Why did they not make it clear
that the day the resolution passed was the saddest, darkest, most tragic day in
the church's history, a day that will have the most far reaching and dire
consequences of anything thus far? Why can we not obey Hymn 631 CHURCH REJOICE?
You love it don't you? Then why do you flatly disobey verse 2 "Church unite
for the right; let your foes behold your stand;"? The head of PEC (I
believe) told the reporter in effect, "We don't support
homosexuality." Well you haven't convinced even me, how do you think the
homo is convinced? Continuing: "rebuke them for their error;" Why is
it we hear so much emphasis placed on forgiving others and absolutely nothing on
rebuking others? A preacher read Lk.17:3 in his sermon, "If thy brother
(another Christian) trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent forgive
him." All he said was, "if a man sins forgive him." That verse
(nor the next) does not say that. The primary emphasis is not on forgiveness. It
is perfectly clear you are to forgive only if he repents. Please preachers, tell
us precisely what the Scripture says. Take your Moravian colored glasses off
when you read Scripture, they are colored to obscure whatever doesn't square
with Moravian philosophy.
Synod, if
you had divine love for homo's you would not have ruled that it is illegal for
preachers to obey 2 Tim.4:2 "preach the Word...reprove, rebuke,
exhort..." It is obvious that verses 3-4 "...they will not endure
sound doctrine but, after their own lust, shall they heap to themselves
teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the
truth," is describing, among others, homo's. Interesting isn't it, God
wrote down 2000 years ago what the homo would do today!
Synod's action
reveals that Satan has been very successful in sowing tares among the wheat, and
that the leaven the woman hid in the meal has done an excellent job in
permeating the meal. Most won't like this. Hymn 627 says, We are "called by
Christ to be earth’s leaven." NO WE AREN'T. We are to be light. Light is
not synonymous with leaven. That light is to shine, not be hidden, but, leaven
must be hidden to work, it doesn't shine. Leaven is not the gospel, the gospel
is not to be hidden. Leaven is not goodness. God is sensible, for Him to use a
decaying agent to picture goodness doesn't wash, it is not sensible. Leaven is
used 98 times (75 in OT, 23 in NT) in Scripture, never does it represent good.
When a Levitical offering was made to God, leaven was not allowed. It is
perfectly clear that Paul uses leaven in 1 Cor.5:6-8 as representing evil. If
leaven represents good, why is there none in the communion wafer? Because it
symbolizes Christ's body. He knew no sin, He had no sin, in Him was no sin. He
had no sin nature, it was impossible for Him to sin, else He still could, as He
is unchangeable. There is nothing in Him that sin has any appeal to(Jas.l:13).
Sin is totally contrary to His nature. And that is the key to what Jesus meant
in His thrice stated words, "Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass
from Me..." Incidentally, to me there is no Scripture that is any clearer
as to His Deity than that. Throughout Scripture, leaven represents evil. Now, it
is easy to see why the major part of the church will apostatize in the last
days. And further (feminist will get riled here, but have at it girls, your
handling of Scripture is very sloppy too), whenever a woman is used in Scripture
in a doctrinal sense, she represents an evil one.
All
Christians, especially preachers, are expected to be "watchmen on the
walls" who warn the wicked(Ezek.33:7f) and sound the alarm when they see
danger approaching (Ezek. 33: 2f ) .A number of Scriptures are examples to warn
us of this or that danger in society. Time was when the Holy Spirit led
preachers to "watch for our souls " and show us Scripturally what was
wrong in society and how and why to avoid that wrong. That is not done much
anymore. Why? Has God changed His mind? No, it is impossible for Him to change
His mind. If He did once, I couldn't trust Him, He could change it again. Just
one time would indicate that not all His decisions are perfect, not all are
based on omniscience.
Ask a preacher
how he decides what to preach about and he will say, "the Holy Spirit leads
me." Baloney preacher, not generally. If that were so, one Sunday after it
was known that a "gay pride" parade was planned, or on the Sunday of
it, you would have preached strongly against homosexuality.
It was
common knowledge in Corinth that a man was committing incest with his
stepmother, but they ignored it, "love prevailed," there was
"peace and unity". Paul rebuked them ( 1 Cor. 5) .They should have
mourned, they should have been angry at sin. We "have the mind of Christ
"(l Cor.2:l6), and He hates sin, thus we should. We are to be angry at sin,
yet not sin. "Ye who love the LORD, hate evil"(Ps.95:l0).
Practicing a
homosexual life style is idiotic. It is a self destruct course. Perhaps their
philosophy is, "Right to Die." How can anyone have a right to
something you can't avoid? .
The story
of Lot teaches a much needed lesson. Synod made Lot's mistake. Lot was a picture
of a carnal believer, and of today's compromising church, never able to take a
stand for righteousness. Abram was told to leave his home and kin (Gen.12:1). He
left home, but took Lot along. Abram was generous and gave Lot the choice of
land. Lot was greedy and made Eve’s mistake. He looked on, longed for, and
laid hold of something he best should have avoided (Gen.14:10-11). That was
Lot's first step in backsliding. His second step is in verse 12. Are you
listening Synod'? "He pitched his tent near Sodom." Same verse very
next chapter, he is in Sodom. The lesson here is, when you pitch your tent near
Sodom (a picture of the anti-God world system), it won't be long till you are in
Sodom. Synod has pitched our tent near Sodom. That is the most depraved thing
the Moravian Church has yet done. But, I'm not surprised. I am ashamed to be a
Moravian. Of late, Church Synod’s and Convention's, are becoming noted for
their astoundingly idiotic acts. The Scriptural illiteracy of church leaders is
appalling.
Synod was
more concerned with not offending perverts than in protecting the innocence,
purity and even the very life of children. Homo's will recruit them, influence
them. The brain is the most magnificent computer anyone could ever devise. What
you put in a computer you get out, time after time. Put trash in trash comes
out. The same holds true for the human computer with one major difference, put
filth in and leave it, and it decays, it is like leaven, like a rotten apple in
a barrel.
Jesus promised
to present His bride spotless (Eph.5:27), but she is filthy dirty. He has no
alternative but to whip us into shape, because He promised to chasten whom He
loves. It has already started, in the church burnings, in the death of children,
in the Susan Smith atrocity, and the Oklahoma City bombing. There was national
outrage (rightly so) at those murders, but where is the national outrage at the
millions of gruesome murders of persons in God's image, in the womb? Apparently
the majority is oblivious to Poetic Justice, which is promised several ways in
Scripture. Obadiah has it " As thou hast done it shall be done unto
thee", the N.T. says "you reap what you sow." Society refers to
it in, "your chickens coming home to roost," and more recently,
"what goes around comes around." God is speaking, and calling, and
whipping America in the increasing natural disasters and tragedies.. Why is no
one listening?
This letter is
written in obedience to Eph.5:ll "have no fellowship with the unfruitful
works of darkness, but rather reprove them." If that resolution stands, and
we obey Synod, we will be fellowshipping with those unfruitful works . This
letter is written in obedience to 1 Tim.5:20 "Them that sin rebuke before
all; that others also may fear."
When those fags
in Sodom wanted to Sodomize the heavenly messengers, Lot cowardly tried to
appease them by offering his daughters. At least he was admitting that adultery
isn't nearly as heinous a sin as homosexuality, but he should have sternly
rebuked them. He should not have been there to begin with, and certainly should
not have subjected his daughters to such a filthy, rotten pig-sty society. This
isn't to say that environment is responsible for our sin. The mud puddle doesn't
make the pig, the pig makes the puddle. Even though people usually follow the
crowd, each one is responsible for his own actions. It is such a shame that the
Moravian Church has to copy the stupid, disobedient moves of other apostate
denominations.
Lot
didn't want to leave Sodom, he was "married" to it. The angel had to
drag him out. This is a picture of the great rip-off, the grandest rip-off ever,
when God rips off Christians. The church is "married" to the world,
the majority do not want to go yet. God will have to take them out by force.
Notice that Lot recognized who the heavenly messengers were, but those queers in
Sodom had no inkling who they were. That God couldn't destroy Sodom till He got
His own out (that says fags are not His own) is a type of the rapture of the
church (lThess.4:13-17) before the Tribulation (time of Jacob's trouble
Jer.30:7). That is, He can't pour His wrath on a Christ rejecting world till He
takes His bride out, because Christians are not appointed unto wrath (l
Thess.5:9), and a sensible man doesn't take his new bride into a war zone, he
gets her as far away from there as possible. Notice the personal pronouns in
ch.5 (1 Thess.) "they" and "them" speaks of the
non-believer, and "us" and "ye" speaks of Christians that
are alert and see the signs God said would exist in the last days. To the alert
the rapture will not be ''as a thief."
Over half of
suicides and homicides in large cities involve homo's. Picture a child at the
age where understanding and desires in sexual things begins. If he lets his mind
run free in this realm, you have a serial killer in the making, a vicious
criminal developing.
The philosophy
behind the yes vote obviously was this: "We must take anyone into the
church that wants to join, forgive him, accept him, love him, fellowship with
him, and not judge him because we are sinners just like him. " This no
doubt drew some people into a yes vote. That despicable resolution came right
out of the pit of hell. Synod dethroned Jesus, ripped the office of Chief Elder
from Him, and gave the office to reprobates.
I had hoped to
get this out before the forum but couldn't. I went to the forum to "contend
earnestly for the faith. "(Jude 3). I expected a large number there, but
there was only 40 to 50. I don't know what that says. But praise God, I found at
least three others there who are sound in the Word.
I will be
denounced as a heresy hunter, and a judgmental person. Well, there is a place
for heresy hunting. Jesus commended the church in Ephesus for "testing
those who call themselves apostles and aren't", and for finding them
"liars"(Rev.2:2b). And, Mt.7:1 "Judge not that ye be not
judged", doesn't forbid all judging, but only hasty or improper judging of
the kind you would not want another to apply to you. John 7:24 commands us to
judge righteous judgment. "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs,
neither cast your pearls before swine,"(Mt.7:6). In order to obey that we
must determine who the dogs and swine are. God expects believers in His will to
judge church members that are persistently sinning (l Cor.5:12). Synod was too
horrified at the possibility of offending someone. It seems their premise is
that the offendee is always right. In truth, our favorite people, the ones we
respect most, are those who give it to us straight. "Faithful are the
wounds of a friend."(Prov.27:6).
Today,
biblical terms are imprecisely used, thereby spreading confusion, but, erroneous
teachings of every kind are readily tolerated because so few people have the
discernment necessary to identify and refute such errors. Today there is a
cavalier attitude toward Scripture, and this spirit has led to using Scripture
to support ideas, beliefs, and practices that are completely contrary to the
Bible. At the forum the preacher doing the devotional read Eph.2:1f. I had
forgotten my glasses and couldn't follow along. He used a different version, but
I realized something was not stated correctly. Perhaps his eyes just got too far
ahead of his words and he stated it wrong, that happens. But, as he explained
it, it seemed obvious he was using it to justify the philosophy behind the
resolution. He stated, "because we are all the children of wrath"(v3).
NO WE AREN'T. We were before the new birth, but we aren't now, our destiny is
not wrath, but eternal life (l Thess.5:9).
There is so
little discernment in the church today, thus, little or no discipline, the two
walk together, lose one and you lose the other. Church discipline erects a
barrier between the church and the world. Remove discipline and you can't tell
one from the other. That's where we are today.
Through
out Scripture, two ways are seen; Gods way and all others. There are two
mentalities today, (1.) Those who seek to distinguish Gods way from others, and
who seek to determine how a Christian may keep himself unspotted from the world(
James 1:27). (2.) Those who try to find places of agreement with the world, and
who try to find out how one's faith integrates with what he has learned from the
world. Synod had the mindset of the second.
Church
discipline is in ruins and the church has shifted its concern toward friendship
with the world, thus, the cavalier attitude toward Scripture, and everything is
relative, with no absolutes, no real right and wrong, everything is just a shade
of gray. But, people who study the Bible in depth, think in terms of contrasts
or opposites. They see that the Bible teaches throughout that any thought or way
that is not wholly God's is totally wrong and must be rejected.
The Holy Spirit
did not lead anyone to vote yes, but He did decree that the resolution pass.
Why? Just as He sent Israel into captivity for their long term disobedience, He
has done so with us, so we will acknowledge our offense (Hosea 5:15). His decree
is due to His wise providence and infinite goodness, He is sending a message to
His church. He is calling us all to account for what we have allowed to happen
by our uncritical support. He is calling us to discernment. He is calling us out
of too much uncritical lethargy. We have followed the crowd too long, allowed
ourselves to be deceived. We have been "at ease in Zion"(Amos6:1) too
long, that is, we are not girded for battle, we have evaded the conflict too
long. "Judgment must begin at the house of God "(l Pet.4:17).
A preacher kept
praying, "hasten the day when the kingdom of God comes in the heart of all
men." That will never happen. Jesus will return "In flaming fire
taking vengeance on them that know not God."(2 Thess.l:8). Not every knee
that bows, not every tongue that confesses Jesus as Lord will do so because the
kingdom of God has come in their heart, many will do so because of judgment. He
kept saying, "We are ambassadors in need of a mission." Have you never
read in the Scriptures where Jesus said, "Go ye into all the world and
preach the gospel"? A Christian never lacks a mission. He said that
"we were so valuable to God that Jesus came and died for us. " That is
humanistic psychology. That denies everything the Bible says about our utter
unworthiness, and His unmerited love. It denies that Christ died for us while we
were yet His enemies. (Rom.5:10). When "Hugo" came through he said
simply, "God was here." That is totally inadequate. Is God not in His
Holy Temple( ruling over all, nothing can happen without His decree)? Can He not
protect what He wishes, and destroy what He wishes? Does He not "have His
way in the storm"(Nah.l:3)? Does He not "kill... and make
alive"?(Dt.32:39). "Shall there be tragedy in a city, and the Lord
hath not done it?"(Amos3:6). Of course not, He directs the paths of storms.
We need sound Bible preaching.
Humanistic
psychology abounds in the church. Do you automatically accept everything that
comes out of pulpits, everything coming out of synods, everything in the hymn
book'? IT CAME UPON THE MIDNIGHT CLEAR contains pagan cosmology based on a
cyclical view of history in the words, "with the ever-circling years comes
round the age of gold." THE CHURCH'S ONE FOUNDATION has us communing with
the dead in the 4th verse by holding "mystic sweet communion with those
whose rest is won." That is occultic. We can't contact the dead. Mediums
don't even contact the dead, they are trafficking with demons. Due to the
popularity of psychics, preacher, you need to preach from Isaiah showing that
going to psychics is forbidden and sinful.
Error has
been in the church too long. Had the people exposed the error early on by
regularly utilizing the truth they possessed to distinguish truth from error,
their powers of discernment would have been sharpened. But, because they ignored
the errors time after time, their senses became dulled, and today they can't
distinguish error from truth. It is astounding how many churchmen and preachers
believed the ridiculous lie that you can't love anyone, not even God, till you
learn to love yourself. That's calling Jesus a liar. Jesus said there are no
greater commandments than these two: ( 1. ) Love God. ( 2. ) Love others. But ,
if humanistic psychology be correct that you have to love self first, that makes
self-love prerequisite to loving God, thus self-love is the greatest commandment
, and too, that makes 3 greatest commandments not 2. And further, how can you
love self and deny self at the same time?
Only a few
kings in the O.T. were said to have "done right." All of those were
accredited with attacking the homosexual problem as sin against God. The O.T.
has a consistent and clear point of view concerning homosexuality, and it is all
negative. It is argued that there are texts that prove homosexuality is not a
sin. NO THERE AREN'T. Oh, Bible critics and liberals use problem texts in the
O.T. (which they twist) to make their claims, and further, they have to deny
clear texts to do so. That is foolhardy.
That that
wicked resolution even made it to the Synod floor reveals what a bankrupt state
the church is in. Preachers, teachers, the church is languishing from a lack of
knowledge. Listen to the puerile statements coming from people who have been
church members for many years. That tells you what their need is. Preach to
their need. Tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Yes, many will get
mad and leave. Let them, the church doesn't need them (they need the church)
.You will have pleased God, and that is what really counts. You will have sowed
the seed. Somewhere down the line someone will water it. They can't get out of
the presence of God. The "hound of heaven" will dog their every step.
God's "Word will not return...void"(Isa.55:ll). Put the Word
out.
Preacher, you
say "I can't preach against sin, you don't want to hear it." That
doesn't remove your responsibility. Anyway, the remnant does, and you owe more
to them than anyone else. It is time you got some "bark", sound the
clarion call of warning. When you are in the pulpit don't tell me what is right
with me, I want you to tell me what God says is wrong with me. If I do something
good (it is not me, without Him I can do nothing In.15:5), don't tell it to the
church in front of me then clap. That's honoring men, that tempts them to pride.
I don't go to church to honor men. When someone does something good, say,
"praise the Lord."
If the church
was doing God's will she would be under persecution, but, for the most part she
is not being persecuted. Society loves the church, she is so sweet and
agreeable, she never offends anyone, there is no reason to persecute her. We
must confront the “Ellen "Degenerates" of the world with the truth.
Homo's
deny this, but, they will recruit your child. Oh, it won't be a direct, outright
verbal invitation. It will be subtle. They will associate with your child. By
subtle words and actions they will influence and manipulate him. They can't
propagate the race. They are a dying clan. They have to recruit to maintain the
ranks. Not only will it be maintained, it will grow. Some say, "why keep
talking about it'? Let's forget it so it will go away." That's the ostrich
mentality. That's largely why the church is so bankrupt. She has stuck her head
in the sand too long, ignoring the problems. Anyway, that leaves the hind-end
stuck up in the air where the enemy can really kick you. Have you not read in
the Scriptures where Jesus said when He comes society will be like Sodom and
Gomorrah'? Remember Jude, "raging waves of the sea", when there is a
furious storm and the waves are raging, what percent, would you say, of the sea
does the waves take up? Nearly all'? I think so. Is God telling us that when He
comes nearly all will be homo's? I'd bet my last dollar on it. Satan
counterfeits everything pure and holy, and perverts it. In the realm of this
topic, he has perverted marriage and the family, the male-female relationship.
When the anti- Christ comes he will be accepted as the Messiah. How can this be?
Easy, he will be a man of peace, and he will almost certainly be (Daniel
apparently says so) a homo.
We didn't get
in this quagmire overnight. It is the result of long standing disobedience and
failure. Preachers haven’t been feeding the sheep the solid meat of the Word,
but have been doling out just milk (skim milk at that), one little 15 minute
sermonette a week, that seldom really gets in the Word.
When Synods
convene, they ought to clean up the dung heaps left by past Synods instead of
creating new dung heaps. There are liberal, unscriptural position (?) papers
prepared by Scriptural illiterates who were commissioned by Synod to study a
subject and issue a report. They obviously went to liberal sources and issued
their report based on such findings. Then instead of the paper going back to
Synod for approval or rejection, they go to PEC who automatically accepts them.
And there they lay. Years later someone writing a theme paper or news article,
or some weak, immature, "new babe in Christ" digs up these papers, the
articles are written, based on them, or the weak, unknowing Christian accepts
them as his belief system. And a blind preacher told me the best thing to do is
just let them gather dust. Lord, have mercy on such ignorance . Preacher,
teacher, when you see a serious breach (openly proclaimed) of Scriptural truth,
whether it is by government (don't preach politics as such), by another church,
another preacher, by Synod, etc. , you are obligated to expose the error
(openly) and proclaim the truth. Paul rebuked Peter. We are family. Family
members keep each other straight, they don't want another member shameing the
family name. Synod shamed the family. And what do you do? You stick your head in
the sand and grin from ear to ear, like everything is rosy. Is the Moravian God
just a lovey-dovey milke-toast God? We need courage not compromise. The church
is paralyzed because it is impure. When flagrant sin is ignored (even if it is
by Synod) get angry. Jesus is angry, He is sick to His stomach of the church.
What Christians don't get angry at is very revealing.
Preacher,
you would give your people a lot of help if you would pick a cult, tell what it
teaches, and show Scripturally what is wrong with that. People need to know how
to recognize error, and how to refute it. How else can one know how to
"earnestly contend for the faith "(the whole body of truth. Jude
3)?
I was asked by
a church leader to explain my statement that a believer does not have to sin,
but can sin. There is a sore need here. How many youth, how many S.S. teachers,
how many board members can tell what one must do to be saved? How many would
understand, if I said, you have to get a man lost before he can be saved? How
many understand Justification, Sanctification, Adoption, etc.? How many know
what the three tenses of salvation and sanctification are? Tell us how one
becomes a child (by birth) of God, and a son (by adoption) of God. Tell what the
results of Adoption are. Tell us how we were saved from the penalty of sin, how
we are being saved from the power of sin (we have a new nature, and the
permanent indwelling of the Holy Spirit), thus, we are able to not sin, but, we
are not unable to sin, we can sin (we shouldn't) because we still have the old
nature. Tell how we will be saved from the very presence of sin in the next
life, thus, we will be unable to sin. Tell why an unsaved person can't help but
sin. Preach on doctrine. Many say, "we aren't interested in doctrine."
Then they aren't interested in the things of God. Perhaps they should go to the
Unitarian Universalist Church, who say they don't have any doctrine. Actually
they have one, and that is that they don't have any, and that you can believe
anything you want to. Well, they don't have anything for anyone. There is a hymn
on the Moravian motto or slogan, verse two begins, "In the non-essentials
of church doctrine". What? Doctrine IS the essentials. And which church is
it talking about, the visible organizational church, or the invisible organism
(the body of Christ, the true church)?
Preachers, demonstrate to us that the Bible is its own interpreter. Show that
the Scripture is given piecemeal, "precept upon precept, line upon
line,...here a little, there a little."(Isa.28:10), necessitating cross
referencing. For example, notice that Jude says that apostates have gone in the
way of Cain(v3). Cain brought a false gift. Prov.25:14 says that a false gift is
like "clouds. ..without rain", and Heb.ll:4 says that Cain was
unrighteous, his gift was unacceptable. Why? He was a tiller of the soil, he
brought the best He had(Gen.4:12). That's the point, the best man has isn't good
enough, you must come to God His way. Abel brought an animal sacrifice, Cain no
doubt brought vegetables or grain. Synod's despicable resolution was like Cain,
doing it man's way.
Yes, there was
love at Synod, but, not all Moravian love, not all Moravian fellowship, is a
work of the Holy Spirit.
Some of it comes out of man's spirit.
Some are afraid
the issue will cause a church split. If a split is caused by, lets say, the
choir director says, "no carpet", and the preacher says,
"carpet," that's one thing, but, if it results from taking an
uncompromising stand for righteousness, notice who Jude says causes the split,
v19 "these are they who separate themselves (make separations, or bring
about divisions), sensual, having not the Spirit." Do God's will in God's
way and you are not responsible for the results. If a split occurs in such a
case you can praise the Lord. The church would be better off without dogs in its
midst. What am I saying? I'm saying, in God's name keep the vultures and the
dogs away from your children. You can do it in the church, for now. Not for
long, but, for now. The court will step in and tell you which commandment of God
you can and can't keep. That's where we are in time. Obey God rather than men
and you will be persecuted.
Some say,
"I don't think we should put them out, we can't help them if we do."
Are you going to obey God or humanistic psychology? Anyway, how can they hear
without a preacher? (Rom.10:14).
Synod ruled that they aren't to hear, that a preacher is not to preach on their
sin. When the Word is preached the Holy Spirit convicts. But Synod, like
psychologists, knows more than God.
One thing that
stands out in Scripture, for me, is that God never ever makes a major move
without giving warning after warning on top of warning. (Amos 3:7). Open your
eyes, the things God said would precede the Lord's second coming are happening
all around us in overwhelming numbers. The fulfillment of prophecy is exploding
on all sides. Is Hale-Bopp one of the "Signs in the Heavens?" A star
preceded and announced the first Advent of Christ. Some scholars believe that
was a comet, I always felt it was the Shekinah Glory. I however believe that
Jesus is no longer seated at the right hand of the Father, but has already stood
up. Is this comet announcing the second advent? Very possibly. Everything is
dovetailing, everything is converging, moving to a common point, toward a common
event in time, the enthronement of Jesus Christ. Jesus is soon coming for His
bride according to the Jewish tradition of betrothal and marriage.
We will
witness an increase of demonic activity. It's already here, UFO's (flying
sorceries). They are real but not physical. They defy all laws of physics.
Physical objects would explode if they accelerated and made right angle turns as
rapidly as they do. The little gray men with big black eyes? About what you
would expect a demon to look like. But, they shot one down at Roswell, and did
an autopsy on one being. Maybe, but no marvel. The cults deny that Jesus rose
physically, so their explanation for Jesus appearing in the upper room, is that
He drew plasma from the disciples and formed a body. That's a lie but, cultists
are not dumb about everything. They get information from demons, and spirit
beings know a lot more than man. Satan is capable of "signs and lying
wonders."(2 Thess.2:9). Demons can no doubt fashion a body.
The
Moravian Church, along with most others, is a part of that religious system that
will culminate in the one world religion in the Tribulation, which , along with
the one world government, will constitute the New World Order under the
Anti-Christ. Jesus calls this Ecclesiastical system, in Rev. 17, "MYSTERY
BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."
Babylon is the Scriptural name for Apostate Christendom. Jesus will utterly
destroy it. Have you noticed what it says? The apostate church is the mother,
and her offspring are harlots and homo's. The world conspiracy prophesied in
Scripture, is right on target, it is almost finalized. The New World Order means
loss of national sovereignty, and all freedom, all will become slaves under 10
ultra rich, ultra powerful, ultra elite men, then the Anti-Christ will take
over. But, there is one thing that must happen first: gun confiscation. They
have to take away all chance of resistance, only the police will have guns. You
don't hear this, but, Jesus, knowing what was coming on earth, commanded His
disciples to arm themselves. Disarmament before Jesus comes is
disobedience.
Some say that
Paul had a change of heart concerning putting the incestuous man out of the
church(lCor:5) because of his stating in 2Cor.2:7 that "ye ought rather to
forgive him." Watch it. Paul wrote by inspiration of God. If he changed his
mind that means God changed His, and He can't do that. Very few believe Paul was
talking about the incestuous man in 2Cor.2. However, it is obvious, whoever the
man was, that he had repented, else Paul would not have asked them to forgive
him. If a sinner repents he isn't put out (out means remove from
membership).
As I was trying
to close this letter, some staggering news came to my attention. There was a
"blood moon" on the following dates: Oct. 8,1995 on the eve of the
Feast of Tabernacles, Apr. 3,1996 during Passover, Sept. 27,1996 on the eve of
the Feast of Tabernacles, Mar. 23,1996 on the Feast of Purim. That's four
"Blood moons" in a row, in 18 months, and all on Jewish Feast days,
and the fourth coincides with, the church festival of Palm Sunday, and also with
the closest encounter with the comet. That is purposeful. God has a habit of
doing things on Jewish festivals. It is His style to bring events about on the
very festival that types the event. But, why Tabernacles? And why the eve of
Tabernacles? Why on Purim? Jesus will return at the end of the Tribulation, and
set up the Kingdom (the church will not bring in the Kingdom) .Jesus will
restore the Kingdom to Israel just as the O.T. prophesied, and as the Jew of
Jesus's earthly days expected, and as Jesus conclusively confirmed (Acts 1:6-7).
Preachers, you need to take a hard look at the Abrahamic, Davidic, and
Palestinian covenants. Moravians sorely need to understand the Jewish Feasts,
what they type, and the sequence of events coming in the future. Without it you
will not recognize the signs and wonders that God gives, nor will you know how
to interpret them. Joel says, concerning the signs preceding the Day of the
Lord, "And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: blood, and
fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon
into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the Lord come." The
Day of the Lord, is that time during which the Lord openly intervenes in the
affairs of men. It begins with the rapture of the church, it covers the seven
year Tribulation, the 1000 year reign of Christ on David’s throne (the
Millennium Rev.20), and will culminate with the Great White Throne Judgment (of
the lost) and the renovation by fire of the Heavens and the Earth( Peters,
"elements melting with fervent heat " 2Pet.3:10). Tabernacles pictures
the Mill., thus, the eve of the Mill. is the Tribulation. At the Feast of Purim,
the Jews celebrate the victory of righteous Mordecai and Esther over the wicked
Haman. Haman, a type of Anti-Christ, finagled the king into issuing
an irreversible decree that all Jews be killed (the Jew was marked for death)
.But, God thwarted his plan and Hamans neck wound up in the noose on the gallows
he had built for Mordecai. In the soon coming Trib., the Jew will be marked for
death again, when the nations go against Israel. God is obviously saying to the
alert Jew, "take courage, remember Haman." What is He saying to the
church? Passover pictures the death of Christ, and Jesus died at Passover (on
Thursday, not Friday), at the time of the evening oblation. At the proper
second, He cried with a loud voice (you don't cry with a loud voice if you are
at deaths door), and out of respect for the body gently lowered His head and
left His body. When the silver cord was loosed the body died. His body died on
the cross, but, the cross didn't kill Him, He never would have died had He not
willed it. After He rose He said that He was going away to prepare a place for
us, and that He would come back and take us to be with Him(Jn.14). He wasn't
speaking of our death, He doesn't come for us at our death, we go to be with
Him. It is at the rapture that He comes for us(lThess.4:l3f). Is God not saying
to us, "look up, the redemption of your body draweth nigh?" Christian,
you are going out of here soon, and the only thing you will take with you is
what you know. Don't go ignorant. What do we do in the interim? We can just
leave our head in the sand, or we can repent and obey the All Wise God. He has a
better idea. It is in your lap, it's your call, I've made mine.
The Boston Gay
Community News of 2-15-87 said: "We shall sodomize your sons...we shall
seduce them in your schools, in your locker rooms, in your seminaries, in your
youth groups,...army bunkhouses, truck stops, houses of congress.. .your sons
will do our bidding. They will be recast in our image."
Because of the
popularity, today, of surrogate mothers, there ought to be a sermon that shows
that the Arab and the Jew have always been, and are today at each others throats
because Abraham went in to Hagar, at the instigation of Sarah (she laughed in
disbelief when told they would have a son, the feminists feathers are up again).
Preacher,
while I have your attention, have the congregation to sit in the communion
service after partaking of the cup, so we may gracefully put the cup down before
getting back up. It is very awkward with people bending over bumping into each
other putting the cup down. And I had rather not hold the cup with my teeth
while giving the right hand of fellowship.
This has been a
heavy indictment of preachers. They have the absolute most important position.
They will have more to answer to than anyone else at the Bema ( Judgment Seat of
Christ, The judgment of church saints in heaven during the 7 year Tribulation on
earth) But, in all fairness, we all are responsible for our predicament.
"The Most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever He
will, and setteth up over it the basest of men"(Dan.4:l7). This is proved
in the present administration in Washington (the wickedest ever). God gives us
the kind of preacher we deserve. If we just want our "ears tickled",
That's what we get.
Some choir
directors and organists are not without blame. In certain quarters, the prayer
hymns are taken at a tempo that is faster than the average non-prayer hymn
should go. The tempo of the average hymn should be that of the restive heart
rate(72-80 pulses per minute). There is no way that singing WHILE IN PENITENCE
WE KNEEL at 96+ can you express a broken and contrite heart(96 borders on
frivolity), nor is the heart kneeling in penitence at that tempo. 72 is the
absolute maximum for that hymn. The text is what's important. Text determines
the tempo. Music is a vehicle to help transport the mind into the right attitude
for the acceptable expression of that text. At the tempo that O MASTER LET ME
WALK WITH THEE is taken, you really ought to change the words to "let me
jog with Thee" Walking with Jesus means going at His always unhurried pace.
He never rushed, He was never early nor late, He was always right on time. The
tempo of hymns certainly has something to do with whether or not we obey the
text or merely just sing a pretty tune. Slow down, God's way and pace is
perfect.
Now, before
someone reminds me that "no man knows the day nor the hour when Jesus is
coming," there is something far more important than that, and that is that
no man knows when He is not coming. When you hastily say no man knows when He is
coming you are implying that you know He is not coming for a long time, and you
don't know that.

PS. Correction:
There were 5 blood moons in the
last 2 years, all on Jewish Festivals. ASTOUNDING! The other one, April 15, 1995
during Passover. Passover is the head and Tabernacles is the end of the Jewish
Festival Calendar. Passover types the 1st Advent, and Tabernacles types the 2nd
Advent.
Josephus
mentions one lunar eclipse. After Herod had tampered with the High Priesthood, a
rumor claimed that he had died and a group of men were celebrating his death.
Herod heard of this and he burned the men alive on Jan.l0, 1 BC. That very night
there was a lunar eclipse, and Herod became deathly ill. Josephus then said that
a lunar eclipse is a symbol of God's judgment. An eclipse has always been seen
as a harbinger of some evil portent, and a comet has always been seen as a
harbinger of some overthrow of power. Hale (Hale-Bopp) said that eclipses and
comets are the most impressive phenomena of nature, and that less than 1/2doz.
eclipse/comets have been seen in recorded history. Let me add that 2 have been
seen in this century, one on Palm Sunday 97. And the other one? In 1948 (the
year the fig tree budded) during a solar eclipse (best seen in NE Africa) a
comet was visible.
Right
now, Israel is moving into a state of siege. Israel has never yet possessed all
the land that God gave her, and the nations are trying to take some of what she
has, away. That part of Iraq over to the Euphrates, for example, belongs to
Israel. Keep your eyes on Israel, that's God's time clock. And keep .your eyes
on the heavens. God told us that He set the sun and moon in the heavens for
signs (Gen.l:14). Obviously, they are occurring today.
You
parents that have kids that are homosexual, the sooner that you and they agree
with God that homosexuality is exceeding wickedness, and that they are obeying
the sin nature, the better off everyone will be. Until you do, there is no hope.
Preachers, preach on
contemporary issues. Give your people the Biblical answer to the problems and
temptations that they face today. In view of the extra light we have (the N.T.)
it appears that we are failing as much or more than the O.T. Jew. I've mentioned
several issues on which sermons are sorely needed. Here are two more. Because
leaders and others are so greedy for the dollar, the Lottery is coming. Preach
against gambling. Cloning is a huge sign of the late date. People have come into
the world by 4 methods, 3 of which were unique ( Adam, Eve, and Jesus). All
others were by God's established norm, by the union of male and female. Cloning
is tampering with the genetic code, it is violating God's norm for birth. Of
course experimenting with genetics will bring some benefits. Satan brings some
benefits. For example, going to a Psychic, when a child has been kidnapped and
buried alive, could result in finding him before he suffocates. But, could not
God save that kid some other way if He desires? You had better believe it. Going
to a Psychic in such a case is, like Abram's going in to Hagar, it's trying to
help God out. This might burst your bubble, but, God doesn't need us, nor our
help, (we need to obey, but,) what God wants done will get done with or without
us. We need to preach the Gospel, but if we don't, it will get preached, even if
He has to give voice to a rock(Lk.19:40), or a dumb ass(Num.22:28), in fact,
during the Trib. an angel will preach "the everlasting
gospel"(Rev.14:6).
Leaders,
readers, you might be able to get the church off of the slippery slope, but, you
had better not dilly-dally. It is now or never. I can optimistically say that
conditions will worsen. The worse they get the more I know that "the
Glorious appearing of the Great God and our Saviour nears"(Ti.2:l3).
