This guest editorial was published in the Winston-Salem Journal by PEC Southern Provincial President Bob Sawyer. Sawyer responds to public questions that continued to be raised about the PEC's and Moravian position on salvation. Is Sawyer stating that our message to the world is "salvation is only through Christ"? Should that be our message? Sawyer mentions the greater importance of commitment to Christ as Lord, but states that responsibilities to the province are not optional. Authority of Christ and his word are placed on a weighted scale but the authority of the province is mandatory. How can we resolve a dilemma when these two authorities appear to be in conflict and can not be weighed against each other. If you would like to comment on this or other issues visit the Forum
