For those of you who are following the International Sunday Sunday_School Lessons of “The Present Word” this summer’s lessons will focus on the question - who is Jesus?  Can he be simply another profit, as purveyors of the Global One World Religion will require.  Is he only mortal as the Humanist insist. This lesson series promises to provide insight for Christians who find the language of ecumenism compelling.  To those who understand the ramifications of communion with denominations who are rejecting the teaching and reason for Jesus, this lesson series may cause you to wonder what is motivating our leaders towards “Full Communion agreements” with denominations that embody the very divisiveness that has been tearing at the Moravian Church for decades. If the Moravian Church thinks a moratorium on further action on certain divisive issues has stopped the hemorrhaging in our denomination – “A Full communion Agreement” with the Episcopal Church most certainly will rip open the wounds,  revitalizing  and legitimizing the Spong/Dunn message!
